Staff Activities
We’re not just a literary magazine.
While we do take the production of the magazine pretty seriously, we also make time to unwind and be a social group as well, if not a little meddlesome. Below you’ll find some of the activities we Children do outside of the staff meetings.
Chalk on the Walk
Chalk on the Walk is a semi-annual event that takes place one night when the weather is warm (and hopefully not rainy, though a light sprinkle has become something of a tradition), usually early fall and late spring. The exact night and time is decided about a week or so in advance, and when that night arrives, we go out with buckets full of sidewalk chalk and draw all over the pavement behind and around Old Main.
We keep things clean, meaning nothing offensive will be written, and we stick to the sidewalk and not mark up the steps or the sides of the building. Other than that, freedom of expression is the whole point, so all else is game.
Anyone is welcome to stop by and add to the chaos. The next Chalk on the Walk night is: TBA (early fall).
Below are photo galleries from some of the past Chalk on the Walks.

PC BOOyah
The staff meeting prior to Halloween, we like to dress up and have a little fun, complete with snack and tunes. A prize goes to the staff member with the best costume, as judged by the current editors.
Below are some photos from past PC BOOyahs.

Louie’s
After every staff meeting, we usually get pretty peckish, so we head over to Louie’s in the Redifer Commons to relax a little. Once we secure our snacks, we pick a table and hang out for a while, sometimes well past midnight, and occassionally come up with an activity to keep us occupied. These activities have included Apples to Apples, Trivial Pursuit, Balderdash, the Daily Collegian’s crossword and sudoku puzzles, and dying Easter eggs while wearing bunny ears.
Any of this sound like fun??
We’d love to have you join us.
